What exactly are the Volatility indices 10,25,50 and 100?

Im currently developing my own bots and strategies with a view to trade the synthetic indices on binary.com. I have seen a few comments on here and Github now regarding price manipulation by Binary.com if you start doing well. What exactly controls the price of the synthetic indices? and is it possible for Binary.com to manipulate the charts to trade against successful traders? I know not to believe everything i read so i thought id ask in here to find out if i'm just wasting my time.

    is it possible for Binary.com to manipulate the charts to trade against successful traders?

    We don't manipulate the charts and this could be verified:

    • Logged in and logged out clients see the same chart.
    • Historical data is available for download from Webtrader (no need to be logged in to access this).
    • Contracts purchased on demo and real accounts settle in the same way.

    Besides the above, our Synthetic Indices are audited by licensed third party entities and we've been in business for 20 years having successfully served 1M+ clients.

    One more thing binary.com is not about history you manipulate the future against successful traders to create the history
